My name is Jules, and I am a dedicated photographer specializing in family pictures, based in the beautiful city of Brussels. I am fluent in French, English, and Italian, which allows me to connect with a diverse range of clients.
My journey with photography began in my homeland, Togo, where my father, a professional photographer, taught me the foundational skills and shared his expertise with me. I used to accompany him to various events like weddings, baptisms, graduations, and other celebrations, assisting with his equipment and watching him work with admiration. This early exposure ignited my passion for photography, and I soon transitioned from holding equipment to owning my first personal camera, conducting photo sessions with my father, and eventually on my own. I also learned how to develop photos and create photobooks, contributing to my father's photography business.
Life took me to different places, and in 2009, I moved to Trieste, Italy, which was a significant change. It took some time to reintegrate photography into my daily life. In 2013, my girlfriend, now my wife, gifted me a Nikon 3300 camera for our first trip abroad. This rekindled my inspiration, and I began focusing on portraits, street art, architecture, landscapes, and nature photography.
In 2015, I took a professional photography course in Trieste and upgraded my equipment with a Nikon D300s camera. I joined a photography group, where we organized workshops, trips, and exhibitions, further honing my skills.
After spending a few years in Malta, my family and I moved to Brussels in 2022, and we are thoroughly enjoying this vibrant city. With the pregnancy of my wife and the birth of my children, I found a new focus in family photography. I specialize in capturing the essence of couples, kids, maternity photos, headshots, and other joyful moments. I recently upgraded to a Nikon Z6II and acquired new equipment to provide high-quality services to my clients.
My photography style combines technical expertise with empathy, capturing moments with spontaneity.
