Where to go?

Are you wondering where to go for your photo shooting?

As a photographer based in Brussels, I have some idea on some best photo spots. Some of my favorite are here below and some tips on how to reach the locations, parking and others.

parc du cinquantenaire

Parc du Cinquantenaire is an ideal place for photography enthusiasts, whether you are interested in architecture, nature or history.

-We can shoot here all day of the year, day and night

-Nice place for kids to run and play

-It is reachable by Metro 1 & 5, stop Schuman or Mérode, the parc is between these two stops.

-The park doesn't have a parking, so you should look for it in the surrounding streets when you come by car.

Parc de tervueren

The Tervueren or Tervuren park is a public park in the municipality of Tervueren, in the Flemish region, located on the outskirts of Brussels. It extends over 205 hectares, and was formerly the hunting estate of the Dukes of Brabant.

Its offers a lot of spots for great captures.

-Nice place for kids to run and play

-Reachable by Tram 44, but it depends on where you are coming from, and google is your friend in this case

-Free parking in front and a bit inside the park

Rouge-cloitre

Located in Auderghem, the Rouge-Cloître site is an exceptional place steeped in history, ideal for a family discovery or a school outing and photo shootings.

On the nature side, the Rouge-Cloître is classified as a nature reserve, like the Soignes forest, and is home to exceptional flora and fauna. It offers walkers its gardens, its walks, its ponds (one of them is accessible to fishermen), its "fitness trail" and its playgrounds.

-Kids friendly but some attentions are needed around the pond.

-We can shoot here all day of the year, day and night

-Reachable by Metro 5, Herman-Debroux plus 20min walk or by Bus 34

Foret de soignes

The Sonian Forest is a vast wooded area located near Brussels. and is part of the scattered remains of the ancient Silva Carbonaria or Charcoal Forest. It contains a somewhat reduced fauna and flora. So on sunny days it is a best place for shooting because of the trees giving the right amount of light and in Autumn the nice colors of the leaves are amazing for photo shooting. It is surely the best place for autumn photo session.

-Kids friendly

-Reachable by differents ways : Boitsfort train station near Watermael-Boitsfort or with Tram 44 stop "Auderghem Forest" etc

-There are some packing nearby

La grand-Place

The Grand-Place is the central square of the City of Brussels. All over the world it is known for its decorative and aesthetic wealth. The Grand-Place is surrounded by the guild houses, the City Hall, the Maison du Roi, Mont des arts etc where we can take some beautiful pictures

-Better to use public transport till Gare Centrale or De brouckére and continue by foot about 300meters.

_ It is accessible every day and night long the week

parc d'Egmond

Egmont Park is an English-style public garden which was, in the 16th century, with the Egmont Palace, the property of Princess Françoise de Luxembourg, then widow of Count Jean d'Egmont.

-Very few parking nearby

Parc de Bruxelles

Brussels Park, previously called “Royal Park”, is the oldest park in the city which was the first to be public. It is close to Mont des Arts.
